What type of Protein Do Quest White Chocolate Raspberry Protein Bars Use?

This protein bar blends both whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate.

What We Like

Here’s another Quest bar with an clean protein profile.  No crap, just milk and whey protein.  The simple and clean protein bar concept is one that we wish all other companies would follow.  Some do.  Some don’t.

The white chocolate raspberry bar also has an absolutely kick-ass nutrition profile!  Let’s run down just how awesome it is, shall we?  We have a bar that goes easy on both the fat and saturated fat (only 8 grams of fat and only 3.5 grams of saturated fat).  Add on to this, that this protein snack bar buries so many others by having VERY low sugar (one freakin’ gram?!?) and only one gram of erythritol) and low carbohydrate levels (23 grams).

We also like the 17 grams of dietary fiber.  Of course this great for helping you stay healthily regular, but we think this may be one reason Quest bars can be smaller than some of it’s competitors while still being filling and satisfying

What We Don’t Like

In theory white chocolate and raspberries sound like they are a match made in heaven.  Believe it or not, though, the biggest drawback of this protein bar was the taste.  Wait! Before you White Raspberry fans try to burn us at the stake for committing protein bar blasphemy, hear us out…please? (Read more about this in the Taste section below.)

The 20 grams of protein is also a minor issue.  Twenty grams is significantly less than quite a few other bars out there.  Don’t necessarily let this dissuade you, though, because what this bar lacks in protein, it more than makes up for in sheer quality.

How much do these Quest Bars Cost?

Over at, you will pay just under $2.05 cents for one large bar and around $25.00 for a box of 12 bars.

How do they taste?

Let’s preface this by saying the bar doesn’t taste bad.  BUT as great as white chocolate tastes and as refreshing as raspberries are, this bar is simply a bit TOO full-flavored for us.  I could eat one of these and be completely okay with waiting one to two weeks before eating another one.

This is a bar we’ll definitely have to try again, because we’ve found that with Quest, protein bars can really be different from bar to bar (more so than some of it’s competitors).  How?  Well sometimes you may get a bar that’s not as “chunky” as another, a bar that’s not as loaded.  In this case, a less-loaded bar would be a bad thing.

Where Can I Buy Quest Bars?

You can find these (if they’re in stock) at these brick and mortar stores: Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, etc.  You can also get them by clicking here.

Special Notes

This protein bar contains “almonds and milk-derived ingredients.”  In addition there are plant-sourced, prebiotic fibers included in the bar.

“Contains milk and soy ingredients and is manufactured in a facility that may also process wheat, peanuts, pecans, and almonds for use in other detour products”

The Final Say

Looks like you’ve got another good Quest Bar on your hands here, should you decide to buy it.  If it tasted better to us, we’d probably rank it even higher.  If your palate is into richer tastes, this bar may just make you fall in love.
